Balade historique Berjou, août 44

Follow in the footsteps of the British liberators at the Battle of Berjou. On August 15 and 16, 1944, the Noireau valley was the scene of a heavy confrontation between the troops of the 43rd Infantry Division "Wessex" and the German troops in position in the area, the last point of resistance before the retreat to the Chambois pocket. This tour allows you to follow the path taken by the British soldiers as they crossed the Noireau to reach the heights of Berjou.

The 6.5 km route, entitled "Berjou, August 44", is marked by 6 signposts recalling the major stages in the Liberation of Berjou (the route has a steep gradient).
